I bought a few bunches of Poppies last weekend,

just one of my most favourite flowers.

I love the hairy little buds

that literally explode into tissue paper bursts of color!

They are ugly and funny looking and gorgeous all at the same time.

Such a tactile flower

 and lovely to just sit and watch with anticipation.
