'Slow Sunday......'
Today I shared an early Christmas present with my Nan.
A Grand Afternoon High Tea at the Vue Grand in Queenscliff.
After some prawn and avocado spoons in the foyer,
and a welcome drink of Pimms,
we were led into the beautiful ball room and the food started.....

A selection of Finger Sandwiches with tuna, ham & pickles, egg & cress,
House smoked salmon on dark rye toast,
Confit pork puffs,
Zucchini and sweet corn filos,
and countless cups of tea for Nan

And a couple of hot chocolates for me
while we chatted and listened to the beautiful Donna King as she sang Christmas songs with her amazing opera tone.
Such an angelic voice.
Then we were given the go ahead to approach the buffet table of Sweets,

Golly.
A selection of Lemon curd shots with pastry crumble,
Chocolate brownie with piped chocolate,
Fresh scones with Maggies Kitchen jam and cream
and Blueberry trifle cocktails.
As I said,
Golly.

A beautifully gorgeous old building,
and such a lovely afternoon tea.
Merry Christmas Nan!
